The creation
Silky Lipstick Shine is inspired by the luster of Hermès silk. Like a veil of color and shine, this new lipstick enhances the lips with subtle color of buildable intensity to create the desired level of coverage. Gregoris Pyrpylis, Creative Director of Hermès Beauty, has created a palette of sensual beiges, vibrant reds and subtle pinks.
Color texture
The melting texture of Silky Lipstick Shine glides onto the lips, leaving a light and comfortable veil of translucent color. Its light to medium coverage offers buildable intensity, for looks ranging from a soft, sheer wash of color to a more intense result.
Formula
The hybrid make-up and lip care formula contains up to 85% ingredients of natural origin to provide comfort and hydration from the moment it is applied. Formulated with vegetable oils and butters, it contains active ingredients that care for the lips naturally: hydrating and plumping raspberry leaf extract, smoothing and softening sesame seed extract, nourishing and protecting Abyssinian plant oil, white mulberry. The scent, created by Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel, combines delicate arnica, sandalwood and angelica.
Object
Pierre Hardy has designed an object with slender lines and a lacquered and brushed metal finish. Its cap is engraved with the Hermès ex-libris. Silky Lipstick Shine is protected by a Rouge H canvas pouch and nestled in an orange box.
Ethics
The Silky Lipstick Shine object is refillable. Only the lipstick bullet itself will need replacing. Refills are sold separately.
Gesture
The slim, beveled shape of the lipstick bullet allows for easy, instinctive and generous application. Depending on the intensity of the desired look, apply one or more coats.
